Spaghetti Meat Sauce
* 1 pound lean ground beef * 1/2 onion * 1 teaspoon olive oil * 2 garlic cloves * 2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes * 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste * 1 tablespoon dried basil * 1 tablespoon dried oregano * 1/3 cups red wine
1. Mince garlic cloves, chop onion into fine pieces, and add to olive oil in large skillet. Cook on high-medium heat. Allow onions to become translucent then add ground beef. Reduce heat to low-medium. Cook beef until brown then add wine. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, and oregano to beef. Bring to a simmer quickly on high heat then reduce heat to mid-low and let cook covered for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Serve over hot pasta.
